Thieves steal horse float, saddle valued at $25k from Oakey family

An Oakey couple was shocked after thieves made off with their possessions in the early hours this morning. A police investigation is under way.

Police are investigating the theft of a horse float, saddle and polocrosse gear from a Oakey property early Tuesday morning.

An unknown number of thieves entered the Warrego Highway property, west of Oakey, sometime between 12-6.30am on Tuesday.

They stole items estimated to have a combined value of $25,000.

The float has “Starsie” written in silver writing on the front above the window.

One of the tail gates has “Geoff Kelly Transport and MissG Photography” written on it.

The thieves also made off with 10 steel fold-out panels, an Australian Stockmans Saddlery 15 inch Polox Deluxe saddle, three sets of Professional Choice sporting boots, aqua/purple Avondale custom gear and horse rugs, polocrosse racquet bag with one square headed racquet and purple handle.
