Toowoomba police arrest multiple people in connection to alleged car thefts across Toowoomba

A total of four people, including two 14-year-olds, have been arrested in connection to an allegedly stolen Audi seen driving erratically through Toowoomba streets.

Four people, including two juveniles, have been arrested and charged in connection to an stolen vehicle spotted across Toowoomba.

On Monday a black 2017 Audi was stolen from an address in Godfrey Street, Toowoomba.

That day the vehicle was spotted by members of the public driving erratically through the streets of Toowoomba.

About 10.15am on Tuesday members of the public reported to police that two juveniles were seen running from the stolen vehicle, and after a foot chase police were able to apprehend the two 14-year-old males on Rosbrook Court, Rangeville.

A teenager was taken in custody and charged with a number of property offences after he was reported to be seen fleeing from an allegedly stolen Audi in Toowoomba on May 17, 2022.

Toowoomba CIB officer-in-charge Detective Senior Sergeant Paul McCusker said about 6.30am on Wednesday the Audi was located at Westbrook 7-Eleven where two males, a 26-year-old and a 30-year-old, were arrested.

Sergeant McCusker said one of the 14-year-olds was charged with a total of 18 offences, including dangerous operation of a vehicle, three counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, four counts of break and enter and two counts of trespass.

The second juvenile was charged with a total of nine offences, including unlawful use of a motor vehicle, attempted stealing and trespass.

The 26-year-old was charged with five counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and investigations were continuing into alleged offences across southern Queensland.

the 30-year-old was charged with one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

The juveniles were due to appear in Toowoomba Childrens Court on Wednesday, while the two adults would appear in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Thursday.
