Police charge 14-year-old girl with unlawful wounding

Police have held a girl in custody overnight after charging her with unlawful wounding. She faced Toowoomba Childrens Court on Tuesday.

Police have charged a 14-year-old girl with unlawful wounding after police were called to an incident in Rockville.

Toowoomba Detective Acting-Senior Sergeant Jon Cunningham said police will allege a 17-year-old boy suffered a knife wound to his arm, about 9.50pm on Monday.

Sgt Cunningham said the boy was recovering well and his wounds were not life-threatening.

Police held the girl in custody overnight to face the Toowoomba Childrens Court on Tuesday.

She was released on bail and will return to the court on June 17.
