Preparations for the 2024 Hostplus Cup season have already begun for the Western Clydesdales as they announced the first 12 players to re-sign for next season.

Todd White is among returning and is one of the most pivotal members of the Clydesdales line-up headed into next season.

The ever-reliable prop made 19 appearances in the Hostplus Cup, scoring two tries and making 447 tackles at 92.4 per cent efficiency.

White provides an experienced head out in the middle and is a Toowoomba junior who made his name for Valleys Roosters before signing with the Ipswich Jets in the Hostplus Cup in 2021 after a string of impressive performances.

However, following the Clydesdales’ re-entry into Queensland’s top rugby league competition, White returned to the Garden City to represent his home town.

Other notable re-signings include Pacific Championships duo Takai Mokohar and Esom Ioka, who recently were a part of the Cook Islands squad which competed in the Pacific Bowl.

Another key player who is set to return next year is Brock Diment, who played 10 games in his first campaign at Hostplus Cup level.

The 23-year-old scored two tries in 2023 and was a constant threat to opposition defences as he made 52 tackle breaks and eight line breaks last season.

These players will be joined by Blake Lenehan, Cooper Howlett, Drew Timms, Jerome Taulaga, Luke Rouland, Neihana Oldham, Patrick O’Callaghan and Tui Oloapu
