LEAGUE: Toowoomba Rugby League is investigating an incident that ended with a spectator being removed from a game at the weekend.
Details around the situation are sparse but it comes after a shock moment of racism shook the competition a fortnight ago.
The Chronicle captured ground and league officials escorting a spectator from John McDonald Sports Complex shortly before halftime of the Gatton Hawks and Valleys Roosters A-grade game on Sunday.
It is believed a match official may have been “involved” in the incident that is now under investigation.
“The incident has been reported to us and is currently under investigation,” TRL chairman Joe Hannant said.
“In line with our strict and well structured guidelines and those set by Queensland Rugby League we are collecting all the information necessary to determine what happens next.
“All the parties involved have been identified and contacted.”
