Seven Sunshine Coast real estate agents have been named among Queensland’s top 20 biggest deal makers, with one recording an eye-watering median sales price over $5.8 million.

More than $1.3 million separated the top two contenders on the Sunshine Coast in the inaugural list by realestate.com.au, which ranked the state’s selling agents by their highest average residential sale in the past year.

The Sunshine Coast agent with top sales price boasting rights goes to Nic Hunter of Tom Offermann Real Estate with a median sales price of $5,816,667 in the 12 months to the end of March.

Mr Hunter was the fourth biggest deal-maker in the Sunshine State, with the top three all located on the Gold Coast.

In his most recent Prestige Property Market Update, Tom Offermann Real Estate principal Tom Offermann said the Sunshine Coast market remained quite balanced despite commentary around rising interest rates and the “so-called interest rate cliff”.

“There is no better indicator than current sales results,” the blog post said.

“In the four weeks since our previous market report, Tom Offermann Real Estate signed unconditional contracts totalling $88 million.

“Eight were in the $5m-$10m range, and one higher.

“These sales volumes, by comparison, are not far off the hectic post Covid period.”
