A 2024 sale listing for the block said the existing Surfside Beach Houses at the block “were designed by award-winning architect Lindsay Clare”.

The proposal is the latest in a string of developments proposed at the Rainbow Shores area in the past few years.

These include a controversial 39-lot subdivision proposed to be built on the Shores’ former golf course which has been approved, and a subdivision which originally planned to include the site of Altum Rainbow’s proposed development within in its bounds which is still under consideration.
