A well-established disability and community support service has snapped up a historical Toowoomba CBD property for $1.5m.
The large site on Clifford Street, opposite Grand Central Shopping Centre, has been used for office space until it was sold through Colliers International.
Lead agent Rebecca Steinmuller said Big Dog would turn the property next to the heritage-listed Harris House into its headquarters from next year.
“We’ve secured a great price, we did take it to campaign through expressions of interest but there were no successful offers that reached the current seller’s benchmark,” she said.
“We then priced it over $1.5m and we’ve managed to secure a purchaser at that price.
“The current occupants are on a month-to-month basis, so that current tenant will be relocating.
“It’s been secured by a local support service called Big Dog, a wellness support service and they’ll move in there from next year.”
Ms Steinmuller said while the property wasn’t heritage-listed, it was covered by council’s heritage overlay.
