A Chris Clout-designed mansion perched high on Sunshine Beach could sell for north of $10m as a Sydney banker puts it on the market for the first time since 2016.

Azure House at 26 McAnally Dr is one of the early solo works of renowned house designer Chris Clout and has been listed for sale through Tom Offermann Real Estate.

Agency principal Tom Offermann said it was a property you enter and “feel like you want to kick your shoes off”.

He said some of its features include an infinity pool with floating daybeds and a “penthouse style” main bedroom.

“It feels like you are floating on the ocean,” Mr Offermann said.

Boasting five bedrooms and four bathrooms, the two-storey mansion has a 180-degree coastline view spanning from Noosa National Park to Mooloolaba.

Property data revealed it was bought by Sydney-based banker David Hannon for $6.2m in 2016 after the award-winning home was built in 2015 by Glen and Deborah Watson Building & Design.

Mr Offermann said his client used it as his “second home”, but had not visited as often in recent years.

Mr Clout’s design of the 653sq m home won several awards, including for residential design of a new home valued over $2m in both regional and Queensland categories.

Mr Offermann said the “striking” residence created a buzz when it hit the market in 2016, and to this day was still one of his most asked about properties.

He said their YouTube video at the time for the property was still their most watched, with almost 700,000 views.

Mr Offermann said barely a week goes by where someone does not ask about Azure House.

He said there had been a huge number of phone calls and emails since the property hit the marke.

The first open house is scheduled for 2pm Saturday, October 14 and will be up for auction on Saturday, November 4 at 11am.

Mr Offermann said early interest had been in excess of $10m.

This follows the sale of Mr Clout’s own family home in Castaways Beach in July, 2023.

The stunning six-bedroom, six-bathroom Driftwood House was sold for $13.3m, property records show.
