A mother of six who stalked a couple, the former foster parents of her biological children, has fronted court for a long list of bizarre offences which included her smearing faeces throughout a watch house cell.

The Townsville woman appeared in Townsville Magistrates Court recently, tearful as the details of her offences were read aloud.

Police prosecutor Danny Burke said on January 18 this year the 45-year-old attended a couple’s home, who she knew as her children’s former foster parents.

The court was told the couple had never physically met the woman but had seen her in photographs.

Mr Burke said the man had noticed the woman in their driveway and approached the woman where she asked him for directions claiming she was lost.

“He was confused but pointed her in the right direction, she asked for his name and he told her,” Mr Burke said.

The court was told the woman got into a sedan and slowly drove away and yelled “God bless you” followed by the victim’s full names, and a string of explicit words.

“This left the victims concerned because they’d only given her the first name of the male,” Mr Burke said.

He said that two days later the woman returned to the couple’s house, throwing an egg into their mailbox and swirling it around with her fingers before getting back into the same vehicle, with the CCTV capturing the bizarre event.

In a separate offence, months earlier on April 1 2022, the woman barged into a doctor’s office demanding to see the GP after she had booked an appointment, the court was told.

“She interrupted another appointment in an aggressive manner, causing the patient to leave the room in fear,” Mr Burke said.

“Police attended, she refused to leave and was arrested for disorderly behaviour.”

The prosecutor explained that the woman yelled profanities at the officers and “squeezed” the right breast of a female acting sergeant.

Mr Burke said after being transported to the watch house the woman defecated herself and spread her own faeces all over the cell floor and walls, and pushed a handful of the excrement under the cell door and into the hallway.

In an additional string of offences this year, the woman was pulled over by police in regards to her “manner of driving”.

“They asked if she consumed alcohol and she said yes, grabbed a cup containing an unknown substance and took a gulp in front of police,” Mr Burke said.

“They tried to give her an attempt to provide a breath test, she interrupted and said ‘whack it on my bill, no f--ks given, it’s a heavy no from me’.”

The woman was taken to the watch house where she presented a reading of 0.164.

Defence lawyer Lisa Mcnamara said alcohol had been an issue for her client, and submitted a letter from St Vincent De Paul which showed she had taken steps to address her substance abuse issues.

Ms Mcnamara said in regards to the stalking offence, the couple had been the foster parents for her two youngest children and the woman was under the belief there were welfare issues while the children were in their care, despite no charges being made.

Magistrate Viviana Keegan acknowledged that the woman had no criminal history of similar offending.

“You clearly have issues with alcohol abuse and mental health but it doesn’t excuse anything,” she said.

The woman pleaded guilty to 16 charges which included unlawful stalking, assaulting police, driving under the influence, public nuisance and wilful damage.

She was sentenced to 18 months’ probation, ordered to complete 40 hours of community service and disqualified from driving for 15 months.

A restraining order was also placed on the woman who is not allowed to be in contact with the two victims of the stalking charge for two years.
