Police have declared a crime scene after a 41-year-old woman suffered ‘life-threatening injuries’ during a shocking alleged domestic violence-related attack in Townsville.

A man has been charged with grievous bodily harm (domestic violence) by detectives from Townsville’s Criminal Investigation Branch following an incident in Vincent over the weekend.
Emergency services were called to a Dalrymple Service Rd property just before 1.30pm on Saturday, October 19, to reports that a 41-year-old woman had sustained serious injuries.
She was transported to Townsville University Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police declared a crime scene at the property where they took a 42-year-old Vincent man into custody.
He has been charged with grievous bodily harm (domestic violence), and is due to appear at Townsville Magistrates Court on Monday, October 21.
Police are continuing to provide support to the family of the victim, who have requested privacy at this time.
