What’s open in Toowoomba this Australia Day

If you’re fortunate enough to be enjoying the public holiday today, here are all the Toowoomba places that are still open for you to enjoy.

Australia Day Celebrations at the Highfields Pioneer Village

Highfields Pioneer Village has traditionally hosted many thousands of people from near and far celebrating Australia Day in a unique heritage location.

Australia Day Celebrations at Highfields will be jam-packed full of fun with displays and entertainment to interest all ages including milking cows, beekeeping, blacksmithing, working draught horses and whip cracking school.
There will be plenty of good Aussie tucker, meat pies, vegemite sandwiches and Billy Tea and Damper on offer with guest artists performing throughout the day.

There will also be an Aboriginal art display, family games and children will love the baby animals in the nursery.

The village will be open all day until 5pm.

Entry is $5 per person to support the heritage village, with under 15 years free.

‘Straya Day at The Rock Pub

The Rock Pub is hosting an Australia Day party up on their Top Bar from 12pm

they will be showing the Australia Day Test, cooking up a BBQ on the terrace, handing out Great Northern giveaways and putting on live music with Kane Maher performing from 1-5pm.

Spacies Bar and Arcade
Toowoomba’s newest arcade will be open from 12pm and is turning it up for Australia Day with all you can eat snags and a soft drink for $10.

The Spotted Cow Hotel

Get dressed up in your best Aussie outfit and head on down to on of Toowoomba’s favorite locals this Aussie Day and enjoy a BBQ with the boss, live entertainment, Aussie trivia, an Aussie menu and yabby races.

Open from 10am-12am.

2nd Shot Coffee Shop

Get your daily coffee fix at 2nd Shot on Ruthven St until 1pm today.

Toowoomba Day and Night Pharmacy on Ruthven Street
Keeping their promise of being the last pharmacy in Toowoomba to close each night Toowoomba Day and Night Pharmacy is open today from 8am to 10pm.

Wyalla Plaza Friendly Grocer

The Friendly Grocer on Taylor St is open today from 7am to 8pm.

GPO Bar and Cafe

GPO on Margaret Street will be open until 11.30am.

The Coffee Club on Margaret Street

Coffee Club will be open on Australia Day, serving brekkie and lunch from 7.30am-2pm.
