Nothing says Australia Day quite like Vegemite, beers and barbecue. Butcher Keenan Miller has combined all three, creating a taste sensation … he hopes.

ANY backyard chef worth his salt knows you must pour a little beer over your snags and steak when cooking on a barbecue.
Not only does it help regulate the hotplate temperature, but a healthy swig of ale gives the meat that classic hops-soaked flavour.
This homespun tradition is the behind the latest creations from the Millers Gourmet Meats butchers.
In the lead up to Australia Day they will make and sell a XXXX Gold sausage and a Vegemite and cheese sausage.
Co-owner Keenan Millers said he will also have a go at baking a lamb and vegemite pie.
“We do it to be festive and the customers love it,” he said.
“They like to try different things and we like to be creative out the back too.
“People use vegemite in stews and casseroles so why not put it in a pie or sausage.”
The Australia Day snags will be on sale until Monday, while the pies are limited to today only.
