Centre management has revealed the future of the site which once held a very popular jewellery store after its doors closed just days ago.

A popular jewellery store at Grand Central has closed unexpectedly, but centre management say the move will only make room for bigger and better things.

Toowoomba’s only Swarovski store shut its doors just days ago as planning begins to open a new retailer in its place.

Centre Manager Claire Torkington said they reached an agreement with the store regarding their closure on August 14.

“We had worked with Swarovski for some time in planning for this departure, which has provided us with the opportunity to reconfigure the retail space within this mall in line with our long-term masterplan,” she said.

“Our top priority is to provide retail experiences that evolve alongside the needs of our community.

“As lease discussions are confidential, we are unable to share any further detail.

“We look forward to making some exciting announcements in the near future as our plans for this space are finalised.”
