After closing its Margaret St location in 2018, a chocolate parlour reopened at Grand Central Shopping Centre 12 months later, however the doors have now closed again and this time it seems for good.
It’s been two years since Adnun and Albab Khan’s much-loved chocolate restaurant, Cioccolato, opened beneath Event Cinemas in the shopping center’s food court.
It had a luxurious feel and sold all types of sweets such as melted chocolate pots, churros with dipping sauces, cronuts, fondue, Nutella empanadas as well as a limited range of hot savoury food.
But like many businesses, it was affected by the closures Covid-19 brought and was forced to temporally shut early last year.
However, barricades were placed around the business front last week, followed by the shop front being boarded up this week, Cioccolato is officially no longer operating at Grand Central.
