Lotto: Tips and tricks that could win you millions

A Toowoomba man is looking forward to saying goodbye to mortgage repayments after discovering he won division one in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.

The Queenslander held one of the 15 division one winning entries nationally, which each scored $409,991.02.

The winner shared he was oblivious to his good fortune until he decided to check his ticket while dashing to work this morning.

“I just checked my ticket this morning. I was just leaving home for work but saw I had an email from The Lott,” he said.

“I checked my ticket, saw I’d won, then I rechecked it and checked it again. It was a bit hard to believe.

“I only play Lotto every now and then, but I play with the same numbers – some are my special numbers. They’re definitely even more special now

“I guess like a lot of people, we’ll pay off the mortgage. It will be nice to be clear of that. Hopefully, there will be a little left over to do something nice.”

The man’s winning marked 4-game entry was purchased online.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 177 so far this calendar year.
