A $100,000 lottery win was the “dose of good news” a Toowoomba man needed after a spell of rotten luck.
He took home the 1st prize in Wednesday’s Lucky Lotteries draw.
“I always love reading the different winner’s stories on The Lott website and hearing what they plan to do with the prize,” he said in a statement from The Lott.
“I can’t believe I’m part of the winners’ club now. It means so much to me.
“I’ve even noticed there have been a fair few winners from around the Toowoomba area recently.”
The Darling Downs and southwest Queensland have now had five major lottery wins this year, adding up to a total of $5.4 million.
The lucky Toowoomba man didn’t have to think much about what he wanted to spend his winnings on and spent yesterday afternoon looking into a new set of wheels.
“My old car has been on the way out for some time now,” he said in a statement.
“I was wondering how I could replace it but now I don’t need to wonder.”
