More rain could be on the way for parts of Darling Downs this week

Darling Downs could be in for some more rainfall this week as temperatures begin to fall, signalling the upcoming change in seasons.

Good news for the Darling Downs – it looks like there could be more rain on the cards for Toowoomba this week with 50 per cent chance of rainfall on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 40 per cent on Sunday with similar forecasts for Oakey.

The most promising day for a good shower for Toowoomba is looking to be Friday with a 50 per cent chance of 0-5mm.

While Toowoomba is in for moderate temperatures all week with averages between 17 – 25 degrees, the mornings and evenings are bound to get a little cooler with lows of 15 and 16 early in the week.

Goondiwindi is in for a warmer week with highs of 32 today (Monday) and 31 for most of the week.

Oakey is also in for some warmer weather early this week with a top of 31 today (Monday) as well as later in the week with a high of 31 predicted for Sunday.

Warwick could also be in for some rainfall later this week with between 40-50 per cent of rainfall on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Dalby is also in for a warmer week with a high of 31 on Sunday, but less chance of rain compared with the Darling Downs, with 20 to 40 per cent chance later in the week.

Chinchilla is in for a hot week with a high of 33 on Tuesday, but very little chance of rain until later in the week when there is a 30 per cent chance predicted for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Miles is also in for warm weather with temperatures in the high 20s and low 30s all week.
