In the wake of the latest Brisbane COVID outbreak, several anticipated Toowoomba events have been postponed.

Toowoomba Rotary’s Night of Opportunity was supposed to take place last night but has now been postponed to Tuesday, April 27.

St Mary’s College has postponed its performance of Jesus Christ Superstar, which was due to go on stage tonight and tomorrow.

The college is planning to postpone the production, but a new date has not yet been confirmed.

The Heritage Bank Toowoomba Royal Show has postponed the official launch of this year’s show which was planned to take place tomorrow but has been postponed to next week with a date to be announced after the Brisbane lockdown is over.

The free Men’s Health Matters workshop, a community health campaign delivered by CheckUP in partnership with Hand Heart Pocket, the Charity of Freemasons Queensland, was supposed to be held at the City Golf Club Toowoomba on Tuesday and has now been postponed with a new date released shortly.

Fairholme College has also postponed its senior formal, which was due to take place on Wednesday night.

The event will take place on a future date, but the school is still in discussions as to when this will be.

The Toowoomba Empire Theatre is going ahead with The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show but is requiring everyone over the age of 12 to wear a face mask.

At this stage the Toowoomba Speedway is still set to go ahead on April 2 and April 4.
