A family-business venture has cemented itself as a must-visit during the Carnival of Flowers after serving the region for a decade.

More than 120 staff have passed through the business during its time.

“While the job has been largely a stepping stone for their respective careers, some have gone on to become lawyers, doctors, nurses, teachers and even graphic designers,” he said.

The expansion of Grand Central Shopping Centre in 2014, the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, and the business’s rebranding in 2015 and 2020 provided customers with a fresh shopping experience.

Mr Wilson said the store’s operations were impacted for five to six months during Covid-19 when takeaway and delivery options were the only way to service customers.

During the annual Carnival of Flowers, the influx of customers has allowed the business to experiment on-site.

“Literally, hundreds of gelato flavours have been introduced over its 10 years with the focus on seasonal themes and events, including the Carnival of Flowers” Mr Wilson said.

The store has been recognised numerous times, including winning the ‘Best New Business’ at the 2013 Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Business Excellence Awards.

“Over the past 10 years, (we) have enjoyed much success that is not only attributes to an endless range of tasty gelato products, but also the amazing loyal customers who keep coming back week after week,” Mr Wilson said.

“(We) look forward to serving the Toowoomba community and surrounding region for the next 10 years and beyond.”
