From twists on Australian staples to international cuisines and even an edible recreation of one of Toowoomba’s most famous landmarks – the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers’ trEATs line-up has something for everyone.
The organisers of the Garden City’s iconic festival have announced the dishes for 43 cafes and restaurants that have been created specifically for the event.
Introduced back in 2020, the regional food trail offers up dishes inspired by the carnival, at an affordable price of $10-20.
Toowoomba region councillor James O’Shea said the trEATs program celebrated “regional flavour makers”.
“We are famed for our incredible produce and flavours, and during the event where Toowoomba shines on the national stage, we can give locals and visitors alike a tasty food adventure for the whole month,” Mr O’Shea said.
The line-up has been released with the carnival just days away from its official start on the first day of spring.
Music will kick off in Queens Park and Laurel Bank Park on the first weekend of September.
