An independent analysis has revealed the state’s 150 top primary and secondary schools, with several Toowoomba schools making the list.
The rankings were released by Better Education, an independent specialist schools website which includes a combination of both public and private schools.
Toowoomba has managed to feature five primary schools, four of which are private, and 11 secondary schools, all of which are private.
The highest ranking primary schools were Toowoomba Anglican School at number 10 followed by The Glennie School at number 61, with secondary schools also including TAS at number 41 followed by Fairholme College at 48 and Toowoomba Christian College at number 50.
In 2023, the analysis ranked eight primary schools, with Mount Tyson State School, Ming-De International School, Highlands Christian College, St Saviour’s Primary School and Fairholme College not making the cut in 2024.
New to the list of the region’s top primary schools in 2024 included Toowoomba East State School with a score of 98 and Mater Dei Primary School scoring 97.
While the number of secondary schools who made the list stayed the same, this recent list saw St Mary’s school cut and St Saviour’s College added.
