Two luxury villas located in one of the most sought-after positions within one of Hamilton Island’s most popular complexes have sold, with one of the exclusive villas selling for more than $4 million.
Both Yacht Club Villa 3 and 35 at 23 Front Street have recently sold through Hamilton Island Real Estate.
Real estate agent Liam Kearney said Yacht Club Villa 3 sold for “north of $4 million” on February 15.
Mr Kearney said there was a lot of interest in the villa and that it sold within the week of it hitting the market to buyers from Sydney.
“The people that we had buy that had been looking for a while,” he said.
“They are going to continue holiday letting while not using it, but they are planning on booking out big chunks of it themselves and spending quite a lot of time there.”
Yacht Club Villa 35 sold for $2.95 million on March 1.
Mr Kearney said the villa sold in the first 24 hours of it hitting the market to interstate buyers.
“They are going to holiday let as well in the short term and then they will be spending extended periods there as well,” he said.
“They were looking for something that offered decent returns but also had the size to accommodate their families.
“They both went to multiple offers and both were really quick sales.”
Each of the villas boast four bedrooms and four bathrooms, split across multiple levels, and an open and functional living and dining level with a large balcony to take in the stunning sunsets.
Two buggies were also included in each of the sales.
Mr Kearney said Yacht Club Villa 3 also had direct grass access and direct access to the complex pool.
“They are bigger properties,” he said.
“The villas probably represent one of the best investments on Hamilton Island.
“They have really high occupancy.
“They perform really well on a holiday letting focus but at the same time they are just a stunning property.
“They are one of the most superior properties on Hamilton Island.
“I know there is a lot of uncertainty and doubt in the property market around Australia at the moment, but we are still going strong.
“If I had two more, I could sell two more.
“It’s that lifestyle and return investment that’s doing really well.
“Anything that is offering good returns and paying for itself is still selling very quickly.”
The Yacht Club Villa complex is exclusive and gated and located at the end of Front Street and alongside the Hamilton Island Marina.
