Fire crews called to boat yard fire at Jubilee Pocket

Fire crews are working to extinguish a blaze within a vessel in a boat yard in the Whitsundays.

Emergency crews were called to a fire within a boatyard at Jubilee Pocket after smoke was seen coming from one of the vessels about 11.55am.

Fire crews are working to extinguish a blaze within a vessel in the Whitsundays.

Emergency crews were called to a fire within a boat yard at Jubilee Pocket after smoke was seen coming from one of the vessels about 11.55am.

Multiple fire crews are currently on scene at the Shute Harbour Rd and Loop Rd address, working to put out the blaze which is under control.

A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said fire crews worked to access the hull of the vessel to determine where the fire’s origin.

Queensland police were also on scene assisting fire crews in their efforts.
