Ergon responds after black SUV totals Bowen power pole

Ergon are on the scene after a car collided with a power pole, uprooting it in broad daylight. SEE THE PHOTOS.

Emergency crews including police and ergon have responded after a car left the road of a Whitsundays Street and wound up in someone’s front yard.

The crash occurred just before 1pm on Golf Links Rd in Bowen.

Initially reports indicated a black SUV left the pavement and mounted the footpath, where it collided with a power line.

The car uprooted the power line and continued into the front yard of the property, flattening a wire fence in the process, before finally coming to a stop.

Queensland Police responded to the scene shortly after and notified Ergon, who also attended the scene.

It is understood there were no injuries sustained in the crash.
