Traffic has been impacted on a rural highway in southwest Queensland after hay in the trailer of a truck caught fire.
A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said fire crews arrived just before 7.30am Thursday, where they worked to control the fire.
Heavy machinery was brought in to help stop the fire from spreading into the nearby grass, the QFD spokeswoman said.
It’s understood the truck is stationary on the Barwon Highway at North Talwood, east of Talwood Boonanga Rd.
A Queensland Police spokesman said officers had closed one lane of the highway and had called in traffic control officers from Goondiwindi just before 8am.
The driver of the truck was uninjured.
