Driver ‘declared dead at scene’ after single-vehicle crash on rural road at Murrays Bridge southeast of Warwick

A man has died in a single-vehicle crash on a rural Southern Downs road, after a car left the road and hit a tree. Latest.

A southeast Queensland man was tragically found dead at the scene of a single vehicle crash in the Southern Downs.

Emergency services responded to the scene on Warwick-Killarney Rd near Murrays Bridge, southeast of Warwick before noon on Tuesday.

It is understood the sole occupant and driver of the vehicle was found deceased by emergency services at the scene.

The driver, a 39-year-old man from Brisbane, is understood to have died around 11am Tuesday.

A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said fire crews worked to remove a person who was trapped inside the vehicle.

Queensland Police also attended the scene.

Investigations are continuing.
