An Ipswich man who police allege was involved in a brazen daylight robbery in the state’s south has faced court.
Aron Nsengiyumva, 22, faces two charges in Warwick of obstruction of a police officer and robbery while armed or in company.
Mr Nsengiyumva, who has not entered a plea to any charges, appeared via videolink from custody in Warwick Magistrates Court on July 5.
It is understood the man is accused of being involved in the robbery of Warwick Harvey Norman in May, 2023.
After a brief pursuit, police abandoned the chase due to the car’s dangerous driving.
Defence lawyer Clare Hine acted as agent for lawyers M.A. Kent Solicitors, telling the court the lawyers would be waiting on a brief of evidence for the matter.
Ms Hine also told the court Mr Nsengiyumva had consented to a forensic procedure order relating to DNA testing.
The matter was adjourned to August 12, 2024.
