Warwick robbery: Group armed with knives rob retail store, fled at high speed

Police are looking for witnesses who may have seen a vehicle driving at high speeds, after a group of people robbed a retail store armed with knives.

Police are continuing to search for the people who robbed a Warwcik retail store armed with knives, and fled at high speeds.

At 12.30pm, four people entered the Harvey Norman on Victoria Street and stole electrical goods.

The shop front exterior was significantly damaged and glass door shattered as the group exited the store.

The group left the scene in a blue Mazda hatchback with false registration plates.

No one was physically injured.

The Mazda ws later seen travelling north on the New England Highway at Allora.

Police briefly pursued the vehicle, but abandoned the chase due to the vehicles dangerous driving.

The vehicle was later tracked on the Warrego Highway heading towards Ipswich.

It was later lost.

Investigations into the armed robbery and traffic offences continue.

Police are asking anyone with information, or who may have seen a blue Mazda hatchback as described, to come forward.
