A woman behind some of the most sought-after pouts on the Sunshine Coast is in the lead to be named the region's best cosmetic injector when voting closes on Sunday at midnight.

Whether it's a plumped up lip or smoothing a frown line, it takes trust to let someone inject you.

The Sunshine Coast Daily put a call out to find the region's best cosmetic injectors and asked readers to nominate their most trusted.

After more than 100 nominations, with small local businesses receiving a huge amount of praise, we've narrowed the search down to the top 11.

Stone and Bare's Shantal Clarke-Wegener has gained a whopping 49 per cent of votes in the Daily's online poll.

But Ms Clarke-Wegener isn't the only Coast injector with a strong fanbase. Several others are coming highly recommended in the Daily's poll and on our social media call outs.
