A boy has been flown to a Brisbane hospital after being found at the bottom of a 20m cliff in a national park popular with hikers and tourists.

A child has been flown to a Brisbane hospital after he was found severely injured at the bottom of a 20m cliff in Mount Coolum National Park.

Multiple emergency service crews rushed to Mount Coolum after receiving reports a child fell about 4pm on Thursday.

A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said fireys found the boy at the bottom of a 20m cliff, with a rescue helicopter called.

She earlier said crews were developing an extrication plan however it was unclear whether the boy will be winched or carried from the national park to be taken to hospital.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said paramedics treating young boy for neck, back, head and pelvic injuries.

The spokeswoman said the boy was in a stable condition with significant injuries.

A paramedic spokeswoman later said the boy was flown to the Queensland Children’s Hospital about 5.15pm with significant injuries.
