ANYONE who has travelled on the Nicklin Way this year would be well-aware of the buzz happening on the prime corner allotment of Point Cartwright Drive and the Coast's busiest arterial road, Nicklin Way.

Opposite Kawana Shopping World, it is arguably the best retail position fronting an arterial road on the Sunshine Coast.

Construction of the much-anticipated retail development, The Point is in full swing with concrete slabs poured, the free-standing Hungry Jacks drive-through and majority of the tilt slab walls erected and internal structural poles positioned within the vast supermarket footprint.

Strategically positioned, catering for huge daily traffic volumes heading north and south past the 8000sq m corner site, this brand-new retail centre is being developed by the owners, Pellicano.

With a staged completion of the Hungry Jack's drive through scheduled for July this year, the full centre opening will take place the following month of August.

Joint exclusive leasing agencies CBRE and Colliers International are responsible for leasing up the 2600sq m of retail NLA (net lettable area), where they've already secured IGA, Hungry Jacks, Beefy's Pies and several other exciting businesses to be announced.

Retail leasing agent Ryan Parry from CBRE Sunshine Coast said this development has been a long time coming and the local customer base was very enthusiastic about the quality offering being built, as it was a very important position on the daily commute.

Pellicano's development manager Darryl Green said The Point was designed with the Sunshine Coast customer in mind.

"It comes with easy access from both Nicklin Way and Point Cartwright Drive, offering just over 100 customer car parks on site for the convenience of retail customers.

"There are still opportunities for a variety of retail, service retail and medical businesses to take advantage of this exceptional location and appealing development."

Colliers International agent duo Brad Moore and Daniel Vella confirmed the exciting addition of world famous Beefy's Pies has certainly made other businesses even more hungry to join the retail mix.

The developers at the Pellicano, together with CBRE and Colliers International, are working feverishly together to ensure the centre opens in August at full capacity and are excited to bring such a quality retail offering to the growing region of the Sunshine Coast.

Enquiries are still encouraged from anyone interested in the limited remaining shops.
