A mother-of-two who crashed into a fence and rolled her car before blowing six times the limit has faced court for driving under the influence.

Susan Jo Winlaw, 42, had dropped her children at daycare at 7.30am on October 19 before returning home and drinking three quarters of a bottle of straight vodka.

Police prosecutor Mark Burrell said Winlaw then got into her Honda and as she was driving along Coes Creek Rd failed to negotiate a right hand turn, went up the gutter and mounted a wall, taking out 15m of fencing.

The car then crashed back onto the road and ended up on its roof.

“The vehicle sustained major damage … she was extricated and transported to the hospital,” Senior Constable Burrell said.

At the hospital, Winlaw recorded a BAC of 0.312, six times the legal limit.

Winlaw attended the police station on December 1 and said she didn’t remember much about the crash, stating she was probably driving to the bottle shop to get more alcohol.
