Two people have been taken to hospital after a bus and car collided on the Sunshine Coast.

Emergency services were called to Wises Rd, Maroochydore just after 8am Thursday after reports of the crash.

Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics took to patients, both in a stable condition, to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.

Cyclist fighting for life after being hit by a car

A male cyclist was fighting for his life after being hit by a car on the Sunshine Coast and sustained significant head injuries.

The man was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with life-threatening head injuries following a vehicle and bicycle crash on Jones Rd, at Buderim, at 5.40pm, Sunday evening.

Later, at Coolum Beach, a two men were assessed following a two-vehicle crash on the Sunshine Motorway at 6.40pm.

Both were taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in stable conditions, one with no obvious injuries and the other with significant limb injuries.

At Little Mountain about 1.27am Monday morning, a man in his 20s suffered a serious leg injury after crashing his car into a tree on Bells Creek Arterial Rd.

He was rushed to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
