IT SET records in the 1980s and now a spectacular Sunshine Beach property looks set to again surpass all others.
The sprawling seven-bedroom, eight-bathroom beachfront home at 21-23 Webb Road, Sunshine Beach, has just hit the market, listed for a record $22 million.
A nature reserve adjoins the property and you'll still enjoy champagne views while underwater in the Coral Sea-facing, glass- fronted lap pool.
Tom Offermann Real Estate principal Tom Offermann sold the property in the 1980s for a then-record as the first Sunshine Coast property to break the magic million-dollar mark.
"It is the finest beachfront estate we have had the privilege to market," Mr Offermann said.
"It made headlines when I sold it in the 1980s with an old timber cottage on it because it was the first property to reach a million dollars.
"The same allure of close to an acre of tropical beachfront land with a luxurious just completed house that does justice this unique location is sure to precipitate another headline in the very near future."
Listing agent Nic Hunter is the man tasked with selling the blue chip beach pad which was recently completed.
Whoever splashes the cash to secure the property will acquire themselves much more than just a home.
The property comes with a four-car garage, full-size tennis court and cabana, domestic and commercial kitchens, wine storage, separate self-contained guest house, surveillance, terraces and gardens.
It features a 44m beach frontage and 25m of boundary abuts nature reserve.
The mansion is only a minute's walk away from the Sunshine Beach township.
Marble kitchens and bathrooms have been incorporated in award-winning international designer David Hicks' vision for an extensive renovation.
Surveillance, alarms and ducted air conditioning are all activated via app.
There have been multiple inspections as cashed-up purchasers used the January holiday period to eye off the elite property.
"A beach house in the front row with nothing but the sea in front is the ultimate prize," Mr Hunter said.
