42-21: From industry veterans to new guns changing the game, the Daily has named the region’s top 42 real estate agents in residential and commercial property.

From industry veterans to the new guns changing the game, the Sunshine Coast Daily has named the region's top 42 real estate agents in residential and commercial property.

Today we will reveal part one of a three-part series that looks at which agents and agencies have the biggest influence on the Sunshine Coast.

Agents were selected on their connections to high-profile people, their volume of sales, community contributions and how they've made their mark in the region.

Tomorrow we unveil the top 21.

The owner and director of Harcourts Caloundra is an armed services veteran who spent time in Afghanistan and Iraq.

He and his wife Katherine are Moffat Beach specialists, the same suburb they call home.

Harcourts Caloundra had 43 private sales throughout the past year which generated $28.9 million.

The long-term Pelican Waters resident focuses on her home patch as an agent for McGrath Caloundra.

Ms Feltman has sold 62 properties in Pelican Waters over the past 12 months for a median sale price of $871,000.

Her highest recorded sale price was a $2m five-bedroom mansion which was on the market for just 19 days.

Principal of the boutique Joanne Reilly Property agency and Twin Waters, Mudjimba and Pacific Paradise specialist.

The agency sold 42 private sales which generated more than $36 million as lead agent.

39: Ken Hindmarsh

A former civil engineer with decades of experience in property development, management, leasing and sales who set-up Hindmarsh Property Services in 2000.

Before his time on the Sunshine Coast he forged a successful career in construction.

He's also the treasurer of the Noosa Junction Association.

His office, which looks after more than $130 million of assets, is near the heart of the new Maroochydore CBD.

The current chair of the Sunshine Coast zone of the Real Estate Industry of Queensland and long-time Buderim agent.

Another "nice guy" of the industry and former agent at Ken Guy Buderim who is a strong supporter of the Sunshine Coast as a destination and market commentator.

The McGrath Buderim agent has sold 29 properties for a value of $25m over the past year.

A dynamite duo from All Properties Group Sunshine Coast, an agency that sold 66 properties worth more than $71 million in the past 12 months.

Ms Radich is a former agent of Ken Guy Buderim and Mr Arkell is known for his work rate and volume of sales.

35: Tom Forde

One of the major players in Noosa commercial real estate and director of Forde Property.

Mr Forde has experience in capital cities and regional markets and is an accomplished trader of commercial and luxury property.

The agency negotiated the sale of the Noosa Convention Centre, Noosaville Marina and is currently marketing the sale of the Rolling Rock Nightclub.

34 and 33: Lew Pottinger and Judy Wild

Both well-respected agents who have been part of the Sunshine Coast property scene for decades.

Mr Pottinger, supported by Ms Wild, has sold some of Buderim's finest homes over the past 21 years including the recent sale of the iconic Buderim House.

Over the past 12 months, Ms Wild generated $24.1 million from private sales and $1.8m in auction sales.

32: Mark Lawler

A renowned "nice guy" of the industry and is a heavy hitter in the 4573 postcode - Coolum, Yaroomba, Peregian Beach.

Mr Lawler has sold 87 properties, 82 as lead agent for the past 12 months for a combined $77.2 million.

He is the top selling agent for Richardson and Wrench in Queensland and second Australia wide.

31: Jay Sherwell

A great operator and the driving force behind new boutique firm Home Sunshine Coast alongside fellow agent Kate Jewry.

Mr Sherwell and Ms Jewry come from well-known families and have strong contacts within the surfing community.

Home Sunshine Coast has just poached gun agent Jess Ruskin from Amber Werchon Property.

30: Rebekah Offermann

The potential heir to her father's property kingdom but great agent of her own making.

Ms Offermann has a business degree majoring in advertising and public relations and has been fine tuned in property under her father Tom's watchful eye.

The qualified schoolteacher's annual sale figures exceed $100 million.

29: Nev Kane

He's Queensland's longest serving real estate.

Mr Kane purchased the Graham Shaws Yandina Commission Agency back in 1953 and has been a member of the Real Estate Institute of Queensland since 1956.

The owner of Nev Kane Real Estate at Yandina has also branched out into other areas of business, namely rural supply for farms.

A commercial real estate agent since the 1980s in operation from Coolum to Caboolture.

Mr Smith has forged a reputation across commercial, industrial and retail sales in work with major developers and local, state and federal governments.

He joined Ray White Commercial Noosa and Sunshine Coast North in 2016.

Principal of one of the Coast's longest running agencies, Laguna Real Estate, which began in 1978.

Since she took helm of the agency more than two decades ago, Laguna has expanded to four offices at Noosa Heads, Tewantin, Noosaville and Gympie with more than 40 professionals on board.

The prestige property specialist has been recognised by the Real Estate Institute of Queensland, Real Estate Institute of Australia and Financial Review.

26 and 25: Brent Higgins and James Goldsworthy

Two well-known agents whose offices Ray White Mooloolaba and Kawana churned through more than $170 million in sales over the past year.

Mr Higgins is a director, senior salesperson and auctioneer who has owned the Mooloolaba agency for more than a decade.

Mr Goldsworthy started in real estate as a teenager at the "bottom" and is now ranked among the top three per cent for Ray White agents nationally.

Both men are heavily involved in charity auctions and local fundraisers.

24: Clint Smith

His video went viral for his killer dance moves but the McGrath Noosa agent is also the strongest performer in the glamour suburb of Sunrise Beach.

In the past 12 months he had 64 sales for a total value of more than $60 million.

Described as enthusiastic and a "goer".

23: Damien Said

The Century 21 owner was a volume star performer across the past 12 months with 61 property sales in Maroochydore and 82 for the entire Coast.

Mr Said is a multiple award-winning agent and Real Estate Institute of Queensland salesperson of the year winner on eight occasions.

He has more than 20 years of experience and has been Century 21's No. 1 Queensland agent in three of the past four years.

Well-known in Coast cricketing circles.

22: Simon Guilfoyle

A luxury property specialist who has quietly dominated the Mooloolaba region for more than a decade.

He was part of the development process for the Sea Pearl high rise complex on the Esplanade alongside Walter Iezzi and others.

He recently sold the Sea Pearl's penthouse owned by Shane and Liz Leadbetter and was the agent in the sale of golfer Ian Baker Finch's unit.

Back in 2010 he marketed the sale of the old Sirocco Plaza at Mooloolaba for $23 million.

21: Kevin Annetts

One of the most experienced and established Coast agents in the game with a career that dates to 1979.

Mr Annetts, of Kevin Annetts Property which operates in the heart of Mooloolaba, is a beach advocate and environmental champion.

He is the president and a life member of the Alexandra Headland Malibu Club and thoroughly active member of the suburb.
