FOUR properties on the Bruce Highway go to auction this month as they are no longer needed by the Queensland Government.

The properties, all in the Noosa hinterland, have been used by Main Roads during the upgrade of the highway between Eumundi and Federal.

Their proximity to the highway are being seen as a benefit for anyone wanting access or visability to the road.

Two vacant properties at Eerwah Vale, north of Eumundi, are being taken to auction by Jeanette Catalano of Hinternoosa Realty at 4pm on Saturday, March 11.

The other two properties, both with houses and sheds, go to the market on March 25 with Lex Townsend of Professionals Gympie.

The vacant 1.32ha site at 2 Eumundi-Kenilworth Rd, Eerwah Vale, has a choice of house sites, and leafy private lane entry.

"The near-level block is almost fully cleared but with some mature mango trees,'' Jeanette Catalano said. "The grassed land would suit a hobby farm, lifestyle property or could also be suitable for horses.''

The vacant 1.43ha at 27 Chambers Lane, Eerwah Vale, has two road frontages, private lane entry and the choice of several house sites.

Again, it is mainly cleared land with some shade trees, fertile soil and with filtered views to distant Mt Cooroy.

Further north along the highway, 14 Uhlmanns Rd, Black Mountain, offers 0.62ha of elevated land with a solidly-built three-bedroom house and two sheds.

The house was used as a base for roadwork contractors, Lex Townsend said.

"It offers amazing scope for anyone looking for flat, usable land with highway exposure and substantial existing infrastructure.

"This property is ideal for equipment, vehicle or heavy machinery storage subject to council approvals.''

A three-bedroom house with studio and two sheds on 8902sq m at 23 Gardners Road, Federal, has the potential to earn additional income or provide for the extended family, Mr Townsend said.

The Federal property goes to auction on March 25 at 11.30am and 14 Uhlmanns Rd at 12.30pm.

Inquiries: Jeanette Catalano at Hinternoosa on 0422 923 851, Lex Townsend at Professionals Gympie on 0429 832 192.
