Police are investigating after parents spotted an elderly man reportedly masturbating while watching children play at a park near the Noosa Yacht Club.
Sunshine Coast Police are looking into reports of a wilful exposure incident in Noosaville on Saturday, May 18.
Emergency services were called just before 8am to reports an elderly man was behaving indecently inside a parked vehicle near Chaplain Park.
Upon arrival, the vehicle had left the scene.
A concerned parent is urging other local parents to be aware of their surroundings following the incident.
Paige Boyd reported the elderly man to police after she saw him masturbating in a parked car at the Noosa Yacht Club while watching children playing on the pirate park near Noosa River.
“It was reported to police and I will be seeking charges. Just posted here to make people aware to be vigilant,” she said on social media.
“Brave man, if a father walked past and seen that, oh lord … I know my daughter’s father would have ripped him out of his car and who knows what would happen after that … I know it wouldn’t be good,” Harmony-jae Perkins said.
“Nowhere is safe,” Annabelle Williamson said.
“So scary,” Lesley Cavanagh said.
“So many horrible people around at the moment. There’s an incident every other day in Noosa,” Meg Agostino said.
“This just makes me physically ill. We go to that park all the time,” Elly Kenna said.
Witnesses, or anyone with relevant dashcam or phone vision, is urged to contact police.
Investigations are ongoing.
