An elderly Queensland man has tragically died overnight after rolling an all-terrain vehicle at his home.

The Sunshine Coast man, in his 70s, was riding his ATV at his private property at Witta last night.

Paramedics assessed him for critical injuries at his property at 6.43pm.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and did not require further transport.

It is understood to have been non suspicious – the elderly man lost control and rolled the ATV.
