A photo has gone viral of a massive python curled around a tree branch which had collapsed under its weight at a Sunshine Coast beach.
The monster python was photographed at a busy Noosa beach on Monday.
It’s believed the branch had only recently snapped because of the snake’s weight.
Locals were quick to share their thoughts in the comments.
“I’m not sure a populated area is the best place for this beauty,” Natalie Towns said.
“If that’s near main beach, he’s a resident. Been there for ages,” Judy Painter wrote.
“Wow. What a beauty,” Mary Ann Skinner noted.
“Hope everyone leaves it alone.”
“It’s massive! OMG watch ya kids and small dogs … is this real?” Emily O’Donohue said.
“A couple of poodles been in that belly,” Shane Pannell said.
“Beautiful cat catcher,” Geoff Love said.
“Have go at this whopper,” Chris Leet said.
