West Woombye motorbike crash: Teen rushed to hospital with head injuries

A teenager has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a motorbike crashed into a fence on a hinterland road.

A male in his teens was transported in a serious condition to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with a head injury following a motorcycle crash on Menary Road at 8.29pm.

A teenage motorbike rider has been rushed to hospital with a head injury after his motorbike crashed into a fence on a Sunshine Coast hinterland road.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Menary Rd at West Woombye at 8.29pm on Thursday, January 11, where the teenage rider had suffered a head injury.

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said the rider had crashed into a fence.

It is understood he was riding an old dirt bike.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the teenager was rushed to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.
