Police arrest and charge a man over string off alleged stealing offences at businesses across the Coast
An arrest has unfolded on the Sunshine Motorway of a man allegedly wanted after a week-long stealing spree that hit multiple businesses across the Coast.

A man has been arrested and charged over an alleged week-long stealing spree after a car crash on the Sunshine Motorway late Friday night.
Officers from Nambour Criminal Investigation Branch detained the 44-year-old man who police said had strong ties to the region.
The man was charged on nine offences including several counts of entering a premise to commit a type of offence and multiple unlawful driving offences.
Detective Senior Constable Chris Lawson said the man was alleged to have stolen from several businesses from Sunday, July 11 to his arrest on Friday night.
The businesses which were allegedly victims of the man’s offending included a chemist in Landsborough, a car from the Landsborough newsagency, a Yandina newsagency, the Yandina hotel and a service station at Glenview.
“It’s alleged that he stole the contents of the till of numerous businesses and evade police while in a stolen car,” Det Lawson said.
Det Lawson said the man had no fixed address but had strong ties to the Sunshine Coast and other parts of the southeast.
He was arrested after a crash on the Sunshine Motorway at Mountain Creek late Friday night.
Police said it was not alleged the car involved in the crash Friday night had been stolen.
The man was due to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Monday.
