Maroochydore alleged stabbing, robbery leaves man in hospital

A crime scene has been declared at a Maroochydore home after a man was allegedly stabbed in the leg and then robbed by a group of men. Here is what we know.

A police investigation is under way after a 50-year-old Maroochydore man was allegedly stabbed in the leg and then robbed on Tuesday, June 6.

Initial investigations have kicked off and police will allege a group of men known to the man went to the School Rd home just before 5pm Tuesday and a fight broke out during which the Maroochydore man was assaulted and stabbed in the leg.

The alleged attackers then stole a number of the man’s personal items from inside the home and left the scene in an unknown car.

The Maroochydore man was taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries.

A crime scene was declared and investigations are continuing.

Police are appealing to anyone with information to reach out.
