A Mountain Creek man alleged to be an associate of a bikie gang was caught with 200 steroids tablets and a bag of heroin when police raided his garage earlier this year.

Jeremy Scott Campbell appeared in Maroochydore Magistrates Court via video link on July 17 and was represented by defence lawyer Jarrod Bell.

Campbell entered guilty pleas to three charges of possessing drugs and three of possessing drug utensils.

Campbell’s home had been raided by the Sunshine Coast gang squad on May 21 who made several discoveries in the man’s garage.

Police prosecutor Michael Quirk listed the various steroids found in his possession, including nandrolone, trenbolone and testosterone.

The steroids are typically used to gain muscle mass.

Police came across 200 tablets and 1200mL of the substances in vials.

The court heard 4g of cannabis, a water pipe and grinder were also located on a bench in the garage.

Lastly, police had seized a bag of heroin attached to a whiteboard with a magnet weighing 1.5g.

Court documents state the 37-year-old was allegedly an “OMCG associate.”

The alleged affiliation was not mentioned in court on Wednesday but magistrate Rod Madsen stated the warrant had been executed at his home when police were investigating “organised activity”.

Mr Bell said the heroin did not belong to Campbell and was left by another person but his client had admitted to using the steroids.

He asked for a sentence to be imposed which would not affect his current parole order which is in place until 2029.

Mr Madsen remarked Campbell is currently serving an eight-year parole order which was imposed for his “dreadful history” of trafficking drugs.

Mr Bell told the court Campbell did not have meth - which was his drug of choice during the crux of his addiction - in his possession at the time of the offences and he had completed rehabilitation courses since his last offending.

The court heard Campbell would have employment awaiting him if he were to be released and has been working in the mines at one point since his trafficking conviction.

Mr Madsen ultimately sentenced him to three months’ imprisonment with immediate parole eligibility.
