Four wanted juveniles in an allegedly stolen vehicle have led police on a pursuit from the Gold Coast through Brisbane and across the Sunshine Coast before they were arrested by the dog squad.

Sunshine Coast’s district duty officer Steve Hall said the four boys were allegedly wanted by police for a “series of offences” on the Gold Coast.

Senior Sergeant Hall said Polair tracked the youths along the M1, through Brisbane and north on the Bruce Highway across the Sunshine Coast to Cooroy.

He said the vehicle was allegedly dumped on an off-ramp of the highway about midday Wednesday and the boys fled into bushland where they were arrested by the dog squad.

Sergeant Hall said a tyre deflation device had been successfully deployed to stop the vehicle, which was understood to be a white sedan which other motorists reported to have seen travelling at high speeds.

Sergeant Hall said the offenders were being taken to the Maroochydore watch-house and that investigations would continue.

He did not know the ages of the juveniles but said they were under 18.

More to come.
