The Sunshine Plaza’s highly anticipated high ropes adventure park will be unveiled in due course, but its developers have been tight-lipped to why it was delayed 18 months.
The Next Level High Ropes Adventure Park, said to be Australia’s largest high ropes course, will open in late November, a company spokeswoman confirmed.
The course features seven circuits and 16 ziplines that will stretch up to 130m over the nearby Cornmeal Creek.
However, according to Sunshine Plaza owner Lendlease, the high ropes course was due to be completed by mid-2019.

Questions were put to both Lendlease and to Trees Adventure but neither responded regarding the delays.
Instead, Trees Adventure provided information on how the attraction will operate.
“Next Level High Ropes Adventure Park is Australia’s Largest High Ropes Course,” the Trees Adventure spokeswoman said.
“There are seven circuits with more than 145 aerial challenges including 16 ziplines stretching up to 130m over Cornmeal Creek.
“For those who don’t want to battle their way through the circuits, there is also paid access to the viewing deck which sits 22m above the ground, giving you stunning 360-degree views of Maroochydore.”
The course will be open to those aged six and over.
Ticket prices are based on the number of circuits customers wish to climb and are available in a day pass.
