A man has been rushed to hospital after a machine he was operating rolled on a rural Sunshine Coast property on February 2.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said paramedics and a rescue helicopter were called to the scene at an Obi Obi property at 10.20am to reports a machine had rolled.

The man suffered significant abdominal injuries, but was able to self extricate from the wreckage, they said.

They could not confirm his age.

The helicopter was then diverted to the Gympie region after reports a man in his 40s suffered an electric shock, and the Obi Obi man was instead taken by road to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.

A Queensland Police spokeswoman said police were notified of the incident about 10.30am but were not at the Pencil Creek Rd site.
