Man suffers electric shock after hitting power lines at Mothar Mountain
Multiple emergency crews are on the scene of a serious incident near Gympie where a man in his 40s has been airlifted after coming into contact with a high voltage power line.

A man aged in his 40s has been left in a serious but stable condition after hitting power lines and receiving a massive electric shock at Mothar Mountain.
The LifeFlight rescue helicopter has been called to the scene of the incident, which happened on the side of the road near where Hall Rd becomes Noosa Rd about 11am on Thursday, February 2, 2023.

A power line is down at the scene and a steel line pole has come to a stop resting on elevated wires.
Energex was called in to cut power at the scene shortly after the incident.
A QAS spokeswoman said the man was loaded into the Rescue Helicopter about 11.30am.
