CAN you feed your family breakfast for under $10?
That's the height of luxury for Bridget Spence, who will live off $2 a day for five days.
The Buderim 15-year-old is participating in the Live Below the Line challenge from May 5 to raise money for schooling in East Timor.
"The international poverty line is $2 in Australian money, so that's what most people living in poverty have in each day - for everything, not just food," Bridget said.
"As soon as I found out about it, I felt like I had to do something to help."
Having taken part last year with her friend, Bridget feels more prepared this time around.
"Last year I didn't prepare too well, as much as I should have," she said.
This time, Bridget has some special recipes stowed away and feels more prepared.
"It's nothing like experiencing real poverty, but it gives you insight and it's easier to understand because you're living like them for five days," she said.
Bridget is hoping to raise $500 with the help of her school, Matthew Flinders Anglican College.
