Locals and tourists can now take a hint of Noosa with them wherever they go.

Photographer and former model, Katja Anton, has developed a unisex plant-based fragrance that captures Noosa in a bottle.

Acqua Noosa boasts hints of Australian botanicals and marine elements so visitors can take a little of Noosa’s magic home with them.

Ms Anton described it as light, fresh marine and citrus with herbal top notes, amber and musk base notes, sandalwood, lavender and bush lemon.

“The sense of smell is a superpower,” she said.

“A familiar scent can return us to a moment of place like no other; I wanted everyone to be able to take a special experience of Noosa into their hearts and homes.

“The sensual and saline marine notes of the fragrance can instantly transport you back to Noosa, no matter where you are, so even in lockdown you can close your eyes and return to Noosa whenever you wish.”

Ms Anton, who has called Noosa home for 15 years, was inspired by her childhood in Europe where boutique perfumes were sold to help tourists remember their visits.

In these unparalleled times where travel has become a rare luxury, lovers of Noosa can do just that.

“Another signature facet is that the bottle’s glass is imported from France for its superior quality,” Ms Anton said.

“In keeping with my aim to bring the world together, the name reflects my Italian heritage, the bottles are European, and the perfume is entirely Australian.”

The fragrance is available online and at several locations in Noosa, including Tourism Noosa’s Visitor Experience Centre on Hastings St.
